Dr. Eric Cheng is a specialist in knowledge management and Lesson Study. He earned his Doctor of Education in Education Management from the University of Leicester. He is the author of five academic books:

Eric has been successful in launching 20 research and/or teaching development projects with external and competitive funds in the capacity of Principal Investigator (PI), including Research Grants Council funded project, University Grants Committee funded Communities of Practices project, Quality Education Fund projects and Standing Committee on Language Education and Research projects.
Nina's research extends across the areas of educator professional learning, knowledge mobilisation and research use and new technologies in education. She is particularly interested in how teachers engage with research and the impact it has on their teaching practice as well as how digital technologies can support the sharing of effective teaching practice among teachers. Alongside her academic role, Nina is the founder and CEO of the not-for-profit organisation The Education Hub, which has a mission to bridge the gap between research and practice in education. The Education Hub, supports over 70,000 educators from New Zealand and around the world each month. It has an online library of over 500 multimedia resources, which provide trustworthy, practical and accessible access to research on topics that matter to teachers. The Hub also shared case-studies of effective practice in both early childhood education and schools as well as offering online courses to teachers. Nina has a background as a secondary teacher in New Zealand. Prior to starting at Auckland University she was a member of the Learning and New Technologies Research Group at the University of Oxford, where she undertook her doctoral work exploring how teachers engaged in online knowledge sharing opportunities. Alongside her work in online knowledge mobilisation, Nina has also undertaken research projects on open education resources (OER) and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs).
